Apollo Bay

Apollo Bay is a goregous little place along the Great Ocean Road with a great location for exploring the amazing scenery along the shipwreck coast.

The 12 Apostles are really stunning, as you can probably tell it was pretty windy as well.

In this cove was one of the famous shipwrecks. The boat was wrecked on the coast and the only 2 survivors ended up in this cove. Then the guy had to climb the cliffs to raise the alarm at a nearby farmhouse. These cliffs are sheer which is pretty amazing. It was the major scandal of the day.
This is the entry of thunder cave, when the waves wash in the noise is just incredible.

This is the Cape Otway lighthouse, typically the first sight of land the immigrants from England would have seen on their arrival at the shores of Australia.
As is fairly common on the coast here, up top it was pretty damn windy.

We also visited the temperate rainforest nearby which as you can see is really gorgeous. Its also famous for the waterfalls, Erskine falles to the left is just beautiful.
